The great music city, Vienna, offers the famous drive along the Ringstrasse Blvd. lined with landmarks include Emperor Franz JosefÕs Hofburg Palace, the Burg Theater and the State Opera House. Passion Play Oberammergau |
The highlight of the trip, Oberammergau and its Passion Play keep the 377-year old promise the villagers made presenting the Passion Week of ChristÕs life. The play is traced to 1633 when the Black Plague swept through Europe. The people took a solemn oath that GodÕs sparing of their little town from The Plague will assure the day-long play every 10 years. The open-air stage and covered theater shows the dramatic backdrop of the towering Alps. |
